PSDmate Capture — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
PSDmate Capture is a browser extension that lets PSDmate subscribers save images from the web into their PSDmate account. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.
What data the extension collects
- Your PSDmate API key — you paste this into the extension options. It is stored only in your browser's local extension storage (
chrome.storage.local) and is never synced across devices or sent anywhere other than the PSDmate API (thepostersproject.co.uk).
- Image and page details when you capture — when you save an image (via right-click menu or Midjourney auto-capture), the extension sends the image URL, the page URL, and the page title to the PSDmate API so the image can be added to your account.
- Image data — for Midjourney images, the image file itself is downloaded in your browser and uploaded to PSDmate's storage on your behalf.
- Recent capture list — the extension keeps the last 5 capture titles/hostnames in local storage so the popup can show your recent activity. This never leaves your browser.
What the extension does NOT do
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.
- No browsing history collection — the extension only acts when you explicitly capture an image, or on Midjourney pages when auto-capture is enabled.
- No data is ever sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Where your data goes
Captured data is sent exclusively to the PSDmate service at thepostersproject.co.uk and stored in your own PSDmate account. Image files are stored in PSDmate's cloud storage (Amazon S3, EU West region).
Data retention and deletion
Captured images live in your PSDmate account and can be deleted there at any time. Removing the extension deletes all locally stored data (API key, settings, recent captures). To revoke the extension's access entirely, delete the API key in your PSDmate account settings.
